Acer Landscaping offers a standard 4-step lawn fertilization and weed control program, which we can tailor to custom needs and requests. Moisture, soil, sunlight and other properties affect lawn and weed growth on every property. We always consult with property owners to find the right treatment for your specific needs.

4-Step Seasonal Fertilizer Plan

1. Spring Application

We apply fertilizer plus a pre-emergent crab grass control product.

2. Early Summer Application

We apply Weed n’ Feed, a fertilizer including post-emergent control for broadleaf weeds like dandelions.

3. Mid-Late Summer Application

We apply a straight fertilizer treatment to aid your lawn during  stressful summer growing conditions. We could include another Weed n’ Feed application, depending on moisture, soil and shade conditions in your yard.

4. Fall Application

We apply a straight ‘Winterizer’ fertilizer to help your lawn prepare for winter and improve spring green-up.

Organic Lawn Fertilizer

We gladly offer organic fertilizer options to our clients. This product will not offer any weed control properties, but will improve overall lawn health, which indirectly prevents weeds from getting started or spreading.   

Organic fertilizer can also be substituted for applications #3 and #4 in our standard program (see above) to create a hybrid fertilization and weed control program.
