“I couldn’t be happier with the work that was done! My flower beds looked so nice when they were done and I loved the placement of the rocks. But the best was the patio steps being moved. When the house was built the steps were right under the patio door, and I wanted them moved over so the side of the patio where the door opened would have more place to step out. He called me at work and asked if I could come home to make sure that everything was where I wanted it—and it was. Also, they totally reused the materials I had for the steps and bricks in the patio. What a savings ——and material was recycled. The crew was professional and totally had everything cleaned up when I got home.
On very short notice (December) I called Nate and asked if he moved snow, and if so, could he take on one more client. I didn’t even bother to do other bids—because I knew he would be fair and do a great job. He said yes—and what a fantastic service. He was there timely, actually shoveled or snow blowed the snow. When he did use the blade on the truck he was very careful with my lawn. He even took the time to shovel a path so my dog could get to the side yard. :-)”
“Great. Nate and his crew were finished in less than a day. About 4 weeks after the work was completed, the grass looks great. In fact, we’ve cut it 3 times already given all of the rain we’ve had. Nate also provided a great reference for a tree company to have a tree trimmed in our yard after seeing that he wouldn’t be able to do the tree work. His reference was prompt, did good work at a great price.”

He was willing to make sure everything was done by a certain date even with our last minute change requests. The quality is amazing and the look is perfect for our small yard. Just put our yard and patio to bed for the season. “The project went very well and the end result definitely met my expectations. Our backyard severely sloped towards the back of the house, and we wanted to elevate the yard by having a retaining wall installed. Our budget was limited and Nate worked with us, he suggested options to achieve our goal and stay within budget. Nate attentively lessoned to all my needs and the details of the project were all professionally done. His crew is very professional and each member wanted to do a good job, they did not take any short cuts. The job took several days to complete and the work site was cleaned up after each day. “Nate was the first to respond and schedule an estimate, had the best offer while using identical or comparable materials. They asked questions before plowing through, and when they were done, cleaned up the job site so well it looked like the wall had magically appeared. He even seeded an area of our yard near the wall he and his crew had nothing to do with. That was just plain nice. If anyone is looking for this kind of project or any landscaping work I would highly recommend Acer. On time, on budget, on point courteous. NO B.S!!!”

“The work went extremely well from start to finish. Nate responded to my initial phone call very quickly and came out to give me an estimate the very next day. On that day, he was punctual literally to the minute. He was very friendly and very professional and really knows his stuff. He didn’t even mind having my dogs and crazy cat help with the estimate process!
He showed me how to check to be sure that the sod sections were doing well, and that roots were taking hold, and he loaned me quite a bit of hose and two sprinklers and a timer to be sure the sod was watered properly. He set up the sprinklers and timer and answered follow-up sprinkler questions by email, always within a few hours, and had no problem with my housesitter contacting him if she needed to.
All in all I really could not be more pleased with the service Nate and Acer Landscaping provided. I would definitely recommend Nate and Acer Landscaping to anyone looking for a great service in the Madison area. I didn’t take advantage of some of their services, like patios etc., but I am extremely pleased with my new lawn and looking forward to spending a LOT of time in my backyard this spring and summer. Assuming the snow ever melts, haha.”
