Rain gardens allow the water to be moved away from your home and dispersed into the landscape where it can be absorbed safely over longer periods of time and utilized by surrounding plants. We fill the rain garden bed with some water-loving plants which thrive on water and will not “drown.”

Where necessary, difficult drainage situations may involve rain gardens with extensive excavation or even underground storage containment systems. This photo shows a very large rain garden we installed in Madison. The full excavation was 8 feet deep, 25 feet across, and stored water from 2 buildings and a driveway.
