About Owner Nate Thibedeau

Nate founded Acer Landscaping in 2011, after many years working in the industry. During college, Nate always worked outdoor summer jobs, whether working for the City Parks Department back home or working for another landscape firm, gaining experience and knowledge. After over ten years with a large Wisconsin landscaping company where he learned nearly every possible role, he ventured out on his own to start Acer Landscaping. He never looked back, and Acer has grown each year. Acer is now large enough that we can take nearly any size project, big or small, but small enough that we still enjoy a tight-knit family feel within the team.

We pride ourselves on being knowledgeable and professional, and that starts with leadership and training. Nate is hands-on and personally trains crew members and foremen as needed. We are fortunate to have several foremen on staff that help train newer team members as well.

Third-party training and certifications are also an important and integral part of our process. Team members have opportunities to attend training courses and gain certification in various areas of the landscape and hardscape fields. Our big end-of-season reward is a trip to the Green Industry Expo and Hardscape North America.  This three-day event offers endless learning opportunities and allows all of us to stay up-to-date with all of the latest installation methods, tools, and products.
